The Voices of the People. Democratic Participation in European Urban Centers in the Late Middle Ages intends to be an active forum about the meaning of Democracy through history, particularly during the medieval period in Europe.

Here, we intend to gather a large community of researchers but also non-academic individuals interested in such themes. For that, we propose an event capable of demonstrating the works developed and on development through the late years, on an international scale. Between May 25th and 26th, we will be able to listen and discuss with distinguished historians in medieval urban history and political culture at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon.
